This paper describes a query language for topic maps called tolog. This query language is inspired by Prolog and, as described in this paper, supports everything described in the requirements for the ISO topic map query language TMQL. It has a clear and simple syntax, and its basic features are easy to implement.

This paper describes the language as implemented, extensions to make it serve as a full TMQL, explores possible uses of it, and discusses implementation considerations.

PLEASE NOTE: This paper is being replaced by the tolog Tutorial
