Two applications – video surveillance application, and a more generic Topic Maps based application – are examined with a novel natural language question answering system over Topic Maps. It turns out that the developed question answering over Topic Maps, and a related graphical visualization technique, provide a great advantage for users trying to access the knowledge available in the topic maps. The video surveillance application is explained in details, and both the question answering system and the graph visualization are demonstrated.
