Explore the Topic Maps Lab portal with the new subject-centric full text search
Published by {{by}} on {{at}}.
Abstract:
The Topic Maps Lab portal provides a new subject-centric full text search which supports the user to explore the full Topic Maps knowledge available in the portal. The search results are not documents, but subjects.
With the recently launched RDFa support for rich snippets we try to improve search results in Google.
But within the portal we go a step further. Today we launched the subject-centric full text search within the Topic Maps Lab portal. With this search it will be much more convenient to explore all the Topic Maps knowledge available in the portal.
So what is the difference between a standard full text search and a subject-centric full text search? The search results are subjects, not documents! Please experience the difference: search for “engine” in Google’s customized search and compare it to the subject-centric search in the Topic Maps Lab portal. Which search results are more convenient for you and will answer your questions in a faster way?
